eBay Wear ‘Em Out Store
Modern Sneakerhead Dilemmas:
"How do I outsmart the bots on drops?"
"How can I afford coveted kicks when resellers snatch them up first?"
eBay, the original and largest marketplace for new and pre-worn sneakers, wanted to level the playing field for true enthusiasts to access some of the most collectible styles. The answer? A groundbreaking concept: the world’s first sneaker store offering exclusive pricing—on one condition. Buyers had to lace them up and walk out the door, traversing dirt, gravel, and grass, ensuring they couldn’t be resold as deadstock.
In collaboration with UEG, we designed and executed the store, conducted multiple photoshoots, OOH and captured content that resonated across platforms. Celebs including Cardi-B and Offset shared the shop on their social pages reaching an audience of over 145mm followers.
The campaign’s bold approach earned widespread acclaim, securing a Cannes Bronze Lion, 6 Cannes Shortlists, a Gold Clio, and One Show Merit. It was spotlighted by leading outlets such as Complex, Essence, Fast Company, and countless others, cementing its status as a standout moment in sneaker culture.
